OneStepForward - Unlocking Potential through Mentoring

Organisers/Managers

About

OneStepForward is a mentoring program initiated by SINGA Luxembourg to foster the professional inclusion of refugee students. The program is built on the premise that newcomers are 70% more likely to succeed in their professional careers if they connect with just 10 local individuals.

The aim is to build a community of individuals who are transitioning into the job market, particularly in the financial sector, either during or at the end of their academic studies.

Through OneStepForward, students can apply to be matched with experienced professionals from interested fields who will provide them guidance as mentors. These mentors are willing to share their expertise, networks, and guidance to support students throughout the mentoring period.

The program is designed to accommodate students’ academic schedules, offering flexible mentoring sessions conducted either online or in person. Participants benefit from tailored mentoring sessions (online or face-to-face) and additional resources to enhance their professional skills.

Two mentoring cycles are available annually, beginning in March (spring session) and October (autumn session).
